If you’re a veteran smoker or cannasseur, you’ve likely sampled the famous Gelato strain, a/k/a Larry Bird. However, some of us are late to the party. I’ve discovered that if you really want to find what strains are hot right now, the Hip-Hop charts have it all. You’ll find rappers raving about sittin’ back and smokin’ this good Gelato in too maaaany of them not to notice.
So it’s got to be great, right?
Here’s the scoop…

APPEARANCE
Although small in size, these Gelato buds sure packed a punch! They are beautifully coated in frosty trichomes all over, almost like someone dipped these nugs in pure sugar. The green buds are barely showing behind the thick, sticky resin. Vibrant orange hairs grow out like blooming flowers.

AROMA
SO tasty! Unleashing the smell from behind the lid was similar to a fresh pint of sweet sherbet: Strong lime and orange flavors stand out with hints of berries. The essence is so pungent I can even smell traces of diesel. Though, after breaking down and smoking it, Gelato let off more of an earthy, woodsy flavor with a hint of citrus.

EFFECTS
Starting with a nice head high and feelings of being at peace, this stuff eased away any worries I had. The sense of peace is followed by a mellow, euphoric high — I felt sociable and happy. Even giggly. This strain will make anything you’re doing enjoyable, I highly recommend it for day or night! Leaves me physically relaxed without making me lazy; keeps me motivated and engaged. Interested in everything.

OVERALL 5/5
I know I’m late to the Gelato party, but this is officially one of my favorites! One of the most balanced hybrids I’ve ever smoked, taking aspects I love from both strains and combining them for the best high. This frosty smoke provided a strong, euphoric effect that was not overpowering, but stimulating. Absolutely fantastic high…it left me wanting more, as only the right strain from the right grow could.
